Full Time Self Contained Special Education Teacher

Full-time Self Contained Special Education Teacher to educate students with a wide variety of disabilities in all academic areas as well as fulfilling case management duties. Responsibilities include picking up district issued computer in August 2026, attending Induction Academy I for teachers new to D300 in August 2026, meeting and instructing assigned classes, developing a classroom environment conducive to effective learning, preparing for classes assigned, encouraging students to set and maintain standards of classroom behavior, employing a variety of instructional techniques, striving to implement the District's philosophy of education, taking necessary precautions to protect students, evaluating student progress, maintaining accurate records, attending and participating in meetings, collaborating with staff, establishing and maintaining open lines of communication with students and parents, providing for professional growth, and developing, implementing, and monitoring student IEP needs in compliance with state and federal law and district procedures.
