Position Overview
Modification Engineer 2 responsible for design and manufacturing support for product modification. The role works with Solutions Engineering and Manufacturing teams to bring customer‑defined special project needs to fruition.
Responsibilities- Design, document, test, and put into production custom product modifications to meet customer‑defined needs.
- Maintain BEGA quality across all modifications.
- Develop a cost for each modification and use that data to create a quoted price for the customer.
- Develop and maintain strong, professional relationships with Solutions Engineering, Manufacturing, and Sales Support teams to provide world‑class customer service.
- Create 3D models and 2D drawings of new component parts, work with purchasing to source and define those components.
- BS degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Strong mechanical design skills with an emphasis on attention to detail.
- 2‑4 years of experience in mechanical design, preferably related to lighting equipment and installation.
- Initiative to complete project work with minimal supervision.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with 3D modeling software suites such as Solid Works, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
- Communicates effectively while acting with respect, integrity, and accountability to subordinates and all levels of management.
- Challenges the process and promotes continuous improvement throughout the organization.
- Ensures quality above all, supporting the company core value.
Salary Range: $72,222.00 – $ annually depending on experience and qualifications, with a base range of $72,222.00 – $90,250.00.
