Job Title:
Operations Leader – Manufacturing
This role leads multiple operations teams in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment, driving process improvements, cost savings, and strong employee engagement. The Operations Leader applies critical thinking and proven problem‑solving skills to optimize production, implement lean manufacturing practices, and support a collaborative, team‑based culture.
Responsibilities- Lead multiple operations teams and departments within a manufacturing environment to achieve production, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership by motivating, engaging, and developing personnel at all levels.
- Utilize critical thinking and structured problem‑solving techniques to resolve operational issues in a fast‑paced setting.
- Drive process improvements across operations by applying lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Collaborate within a team‑based organization, serving as a team member, subject matter expert, or team lead to implement operational enhancements.
- Identify and implement cost‑saving initiatives while maintaining or improving product quality and service levels.
- Use ERP systems to manage and monitor production, inventory, and other key operational data.
- Leverage Excel proficiency to analyze operational metrics, prepare reports, and support data‑driven decision‑making.
- Foster a culture of employee engagement, accountability, and collaboration across all teams.
- Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to ensure smooth coordination of manufacturing activities and support business objectives.
- Demonstrated track record of successful problem solving using critical thinking skills in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proven operations management experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Experience leading multiple teams and departments in manufacturing.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and engage personnel.
- Strong background working within a team‑based organization as a team member, subject matter expert, or team lead.
- Hands‑on experience with lean manufacturing and continuous improvement practices.
- Bachelor’s degree required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
- ERP system experience.
Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in the manufacturing lighting industry is a plus.
- Experience creating process improvements that drive cost savings and enhance employee engagement.
- Ability to communicate clearly and collaborate effectively across teams and departments.
This is a permanent, in‑office role in a manufacturing environment. The position follows a Monday through Friday schedule with flexibility on start time, providing some adaptability to individual needs while maintaining consistent on‑site presence. The work setting involves close collaboration with multiple operations teams and departments, frequent use of ERP systems and Excel for operational analysis, and active engagement on the production floor to support continuous improvement and team‑based initiatives.
