Position Summary

Location:

On‑site at our Moore County, NC facility. The Administrative Assistant will play a key cross‑functional role in supporting Kraken Kinetics’ Human Resources, Compliance, Legal, and Executive teams. This position requires excellent organizational and communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast‑paced, mission‑driven environment and be eager to contribute to the seamless functioning of internal operations and employee experience.

The Administrative Assistant will initially report to the General Counsel and collaborate closely with leadership across multiple departments to ensure effective administrative execution and compliance.

Key Responsibilities Human Resources Support
  • Assist with new employee onboarding, including paperwork, welcome kits, and orientation logistics.
  • Maintain personnel files and employee records.
  • Oversee HR training programs and employee certifications.
  • Help track and schedule performance reviews and maintain related documentation.
  • Support benefits administration including enrollments, claims follow‑up, and communications with providers.
Legal & Compliance Support
  • Assist General Counsel with recordkeeping and audits for various compliance programs.
  • Provide administrative legal assistance to the General Counsel.
  • Oversee organization of company contracts, ensuring proper signatures, filing, and deadlines tracking.
Executive & Office Support
  • Support the planning and execution of Company events, customer site visits, and marketing initiatives, such as community engagement or company‑hosted lunches.
  • Manage and maintain office supplies and snacks to create a positive, well‑supported workplace culture.
  • Collaborate with Company leadership to ensure day‑to‑day office logistics run smoothly.
  • Apply basic design skills to enhance presentations and create simple business materials, including business cards and sales sheets, in alignment with brand.
Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience in administrative, office management, HR assistant, or legal assistant roles preferred.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Comfort with handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with office productivity tools (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Acrobat, Docu Sign, Teams, Zoom).
  • Skilled communicator with the ability to report to and support multiple individuals/core functions.
  • Familiarity with HR systems, document management systems, or compliance tracking tools is a plus.

Salary & Benefits

Kraken Kinetics is committed to offering a competitive compensation package to attract and retain top talent. This full‑time, on‑site non‑exempt position offers a pay range of $20-$30/hr depending on qualifications and experience. The role is expected to work 30–40 hours per week, with scheduling flexibility.
