We are currently seeking anAccounts Payable Clerkto join our team in Scranton, Iowa! The Accounts Payable Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, reconciling accounts, and ensuring timely and accurate payments. This role plays a key part in maintaining strong vendor relationships and supporting the company’s financial operations by ensuring compliance with accounting policies and procedures.

Your Role in Our Mission:

• Process invoices, expense reports, and payment requests accurately and timely.
• Match purchase orders, invoices, and receiving documents for accuracy.
• Verify account codes, approvals, and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and process electronic transfers, checks, and ACH payments.
• Maintain vendor files and ensure up-to-date records.
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and resolve discrepancies.
• Monitor accounts to ensure payments are current and within terms.
• Assist with month-end closing and provide support for audits.
• Respond to vendor inquiries and maintain strong vendor relationships.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency within the accounts payable process.

To Perform this Job Successfully:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Associate’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred).
• Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting/ERP systems (Epicor preferred).
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.
