Job Title: Parts Counter Sales Reports to: Parts Manager

Responsibilities

Greet customers and answer parts calls with a positive attitude.

Sell products and/or services to meet customer needs.

Refer to parts manuals (hard copy and electronic) to identify the right part for the make, model, and year of equipment serviced.

Record sales, counter transactions, and parts payment collections; ensure all are billed correctly.

Properly invoice customers, paying close attention to account, pricing, and freight.

Stay current on manufacturer/store parts and service programs to market and promote additional sales.

Track all incoming and outgoing parts.

Receive and stock inventory.

Organize the warehouse.

Place stock orders.

Create returns to the supplier for items not needed.

Assist service technicians to ensure the correct parts are available to complete the job.

Assist service department with gathering/posting parts and invoicing.

Check back-ordered parts for availability and inform the service manager and technician.

Maintain showroom and inventory condition; keep displays current, clean, and functional.

All other tasks assigned by the Parts Manager.

Ability to routinely lift 50 lbs.

Responsibility

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment

This job operates primarily in an indoor environment, but includes areas that are not climate controlled. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours are typically Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., with some evenings and weekends as necessary. Competitive wage and benefits package including health, dental, vision insurance and 401K match.

Travel

No overnight travel is expected for this position. Occasional local day travel may be required.
