Job Summary

Delivers exceptional service to BMO customers and prospects. Identifies customer needs and provides advice and guidance regarding financial solutions that are in the best interests of customers. Works collaboratively within the branch and through various channels with BMO partners to deliver the desired customer experience and achieve overall business objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Welcome and guide customers as they walk into the branch lobby, offering advice on digital and self‑serve options to make banking easy, simple, and fast.
  • Conduct client conversations about banking services, recommending alternative channels and providing personal banking and investment advice.
  • Meet transaction‑based needs with seamless execution and review customer profiles to identify opportunities for everyday banking plans and credit card needs.
  • Collaborate with BMO partners to identify referral opportunities, promote marketing programs, and drive overall business results.
  • Support operational activities such as inventory management, escalated service requests, application follow‑up, filing, opening and closing of accounts, and other branch tasks.
  • Apply risk and compliance processes to safeguard customers’ assets, maintain privacy, and act in their best interest.
  • Identify and report suspicious activity related to money laundering, and comply with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of the customer experience and support the branch and market team as needed.
Qualifications
  • Typically 1–2 years of relevant experience in customer service or sales, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Canada only: registered to sell investment products (completion within 12 months required).
  • Confident use of social media, tablets, smartphones, online tools, and applications.
  • Basic knowledge of specialized sales and business banking solutions to refer to specialists.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build rapport, listen, solve problems, and respond flexibly.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good organizational, collaboration, and analytical problem‑solving skills.
  • Proactive, resourceful, and capable of working independently and as part of a team.
Salary

Annual salary range: $41,714.00 – $49,000.00 (salaried). Salaries vary by location, skills, experience, and may include commissions. Part‑time salaries are prorated accordingly.
