Leer is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Production Operator to join our production team. The Production Operator is responsible for operating, monitoring, and maintaining production equipment to ensure efficient, safe, and high-quality manufacturing of products. This role supports daily production goals by following standard operating procedures, quality standards, and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate production machinery and equipment according to established procedures.
- Perform routine equipment inspections and basic troubleshooting.
- Conduct quality checks and document production data accurately.
- Follow all safety, health, and environmental regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area.
- Report equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues to supervisors.
- Meet production targets and deadlines as assigned.
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in manufacturing or construction a plus
- Forklift experience a plus
- Strong communication skills, strong math skills, and a positive attitude
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency in using drills, saws and small hand tools efficiently and safely
- Proficiency in reading and using tape measures
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Adherence to all safety policies and protocols
- Ability to work mandatory overtime as needed
- Ability to lift 20-50 pounds on a continual basis
- Ability to safely operate drills, table saws and hand tools
- Ability to stand on concrete for up to 10 hours a day
