RN Responsibilities
  • Perform written assessments of residents' condition upon admission and periodically during the nursing process.
  • Administer drugs and other therapeutic and diagnostic measures in accordance with physician orders and observe and chart effects.
  • Document all nursing interventions to ensure communication and legal compliance.
  • Provide guidance and direction to subordinate staff, assigning tasks based on their capabilities.
  • Assist in development of discharge or transfer plans with physicians, families, and other resources.
  • Collaborate with physicians in coordinating medical and nursing care plans, reporting changes in residents' condition.
  • Assist with orientation, training, and supervision of subordinate personnel and peers.
  • Consult with and keep supervisor informed of activity needs and problems.
  • Ensure residents' and employees' safety and report conditions or equipment issues.
  • Monitor residents' health status through vital signs and blood sugar checks.
  • Assist in assessment upon admission, ensuring quality care based on needs and standards.
  • Assist subordinate staff in providing restorative nursing care.
  • Assist in discharges and transfers of residents.
  • Assist in developing nursing care plans and follow them daily.
  • Report changes in residents' condition to physicians, families, and supervisors.
  • Keep supervisor informed of activities, needs and problems.
  • Monitor assigned staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations and equipment usage.
  • Review resident care plans for appropriate goals and updates.
  • Ensure fair treatment of all residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
  • Oversee and implement the QAPI for assigned departments.
  • Respond to emergency medical situations promptly, including first aid and CPR.
  • Maintain professional, safe and ethical conduct at all times.
  • Act as a patient advocate.
  • Maintain courteous interpersonal communication and positive service attitude.
  • Participate in performance improvement and educational activities, completing required CEUs.
  • Work willingly and accept assignments as given.
  • Attend mandatory meetings and programs.
  • Engage in opportunities that enhance personal and professional growth.
  • Perform other duties as necessary.
  • Comply with Corporate Compliance Policy and all laws, regulations and Standards of Conduct.
  • Abide by state and federal regulations and JCAHO standards.
  • Maintain safe work environment, apply safe practices and hazardous waste procedures per St. Anthony's Safety Manual.
  • Maintain confidentiality of patient, resident, employee and organizational information.
LPN Responsibilities

  • Monitor staff to ensure compliance with safety regulations in supply and equipment use.
  • Ensure fair treatment of residents with kindness, dignity and respect.
