Position Overview

Express is looking for a Experienced Executive Assistant This is a high-level administrative support role. The Executive Assistant manages day-to-day operations of the Office, handles confidential and politically sensitive matters, and serves as a key liaison between leadership, department heads, and the public.

MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS SUPPORTING AN EXECUTIVE, SENIOR MANAGER, OR ELECTED OFFICIAL.

MUST LIVE IN CARROLL COUNTY – or be willing to relocate here.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
  • Serve as the primary administrative support.
  • Answer public inquiries, resolve issues, and route requests appropriately.
  • Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, resolutions, and proclamations.
  • Assist with Commission meeting preparation and materials.
  • Process timesheets and leave requests for department.
  • Reconcile credit card and phone bills for payment.
  • Manage office supplies, equipment maintenance, and special orders.
  • Coordinate special events, meetings, and projects.
  • Maintain confidential records and files.
  • Perform some Clerk duties when the Clerk is absent.
  • Act as a notary and witness documents.
Required

Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Strong organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
  • Must be a Carroll County resident or willing to relocate.
  • Must obtain Georgia Clerks Education Institute certification within 3 years of hire.
Preferred Experience
  • 3+ years supporting an executive, senior manager, or elected official.
  • Previous local government experience.
