Position Overview
Express is looking for a Experienced Executive Assistant This is a high-level administrative support role. The Executive Assistant manages day-to-day operations of the Office, handles confidential and politically sensitive matters, and serves as a key liaison between leadership, department heads, and the public.
MUST HAVE 3+ YEARS SUPPORTING AN EXECUTIVE, SENIOR MANAGER, OR ELECTED OFFICIAL.
MUST LIVE IN CARROLL COUNTY – or be willing to relocate here.
Key Responsibilities- Manage the calendar, meetings, and travel arrangements.
- Serve as the primary administrative support.
- Answer public inquiries, resolve issues, and route requests appropriately.
- Prepare correspondence, reports, presentations, resolutions, and proclamations.
- Assist with Commission meeting preparation and materials.
- Process timesheets and leave requests for department.
- Reconcile credit card and phone bills for payment.
- Manage office supplies, equipment maintenance, and special orders.
- Coordinate special events, meetings, and projects.
- Maintain confidential records and files.
- Perform some Clerk duties when the Clerk is absent.
- Act as a notary and witness documents.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Strong organization, multitasking, and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain strict confidentiality.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Must be a Carroll County resident or willing to relocate.
- Must obtain Georgia Clerks Education Institute certification within 3 years of hire.
- 3+ years supporting an executive, senior manager, or elected official.
- Previous local government experience.
Someone who:
- Can manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Is highly professional, diplomatic, and tactful.
- Handles confidential information appropriately.
- Is comfortable interacting with elected officials, department heads, and the public.
- Can work with minimal supervision in a highly visible role.
$52K-65K
