Job Summary
The Construction Manager is responsible for leading field-level construction execution across Services projects. This role serves as the primary owner of construction readiness, field team member management, subcontractor coordination, field safety alignment, and execution sequencing. The Construction Manager bridges the gap between project management and field operations, enabling consistent execution, improved safety performance, schedule adherence, and margin protection as the Services portfolio continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities- Be a champion of Southwire's Safety & Quality Culture of Zero by inspecting and monitoring work execution to ensure compliance with safety regulations, internal quality processes and standards, customer requirements, and applicable industry standards.
- Partner with the Project Manager to develop detailed construction execution plans and timelines that align with the overall project schedule, scope, and budget.
- Lead and coordinate subcontractors and site personnel while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering, customers, sales agents, project management, and internal leadership to ensure alignment and effective execution.
- Monitor construction-related costs, identify potential variances, and support corrective actions to ensure projects remain within approved financial limits.
- Oversee all phases of construction execution, from mobilization through commissioning and testing, ensuring work is properly sequenced and completed on schedule.
- Proactively resolve on-site construction issues, adjust execution plans as needed, and elevate risks appropriately to maintain schedule, safety, and quality objectives.
- Support consistent construction execution practices across HV projects by providing field feedback, identifying improvement opportunities, and reinforcing disciplined execution standards.
- Bachelor's Degree
- Specialized Degree:
Engineering, Construction Management, or other related field of study - 5-7 Years of Experience
