Graduate Assistant for Blue Coats (Beg Fall 2026)

The Department of Alumni Engagement seeks a graduate assistant to support the UWG Blue Coats ambassador program. The role functions as a graduate advisor, providing guidance to the Ambassador Program, the Blue Coats Selection Committee, and event participants.
Responsibilities- Attend all General and Executive Council meetings.
- Collaborate with the program president to manage requests from campus partners for Blue Coat services.
- Serve as primary advisor to the Blue Coats Selection Committee.
- Meet one‑on‑one with each executive council member monthly.
- Provide meeting preparation support and help identify leadership opportunities for members.
- Act as staff adviser for the organization.
- Support the Director of Signature Events and Stewardship on special projects strengthening student‑alumni connections.
- Contribute creative ideas for developing new outreach opportunities.
- Manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
- Fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG (provisional admission not eligible).
- Holder of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Enrolled full‑time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all graduate coursework and maintaining good academic standing.
- Eligible to work in the United States.
- Licensed driver.
- Enrollment in the College of Student Affairs, MEd, Business Administration, Communications, or a related program.
- A monthly stipend of $1,000.00.
- A tuition waiver, reducing the semester rate to $25 plus mandatory fees during employment.

- Ability to lift 30 lbs in office and event environments.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative problem‑solving for new opportunity development.
- Responsible driving capability.
