Job Summary- Think critically, creatively, and independently to develop a schedule of topics to train students
- Apply current tools and technologies to ensure training facilities are available and ready for students
- Demonstrate teamwork by working with all Directors and Coordinators for their respective training roles for the various weeks.
- Demonstrate leadership by guiding WIT students through course directives, including assisting with connecting to a live show or remote to complete required checklist.
- Apply basic numbers and statistical concepts to ensure accurate attendance for shows or remotes.
- Critically evaluate their own work and the work of others to ensure students are tracked for Most Improved WIT award at the end of each semester
- Demonstrate teamwork by working with Operations Manager and Program Director to make changes to WIT Program.
- Apply current tools and technologies to assist with station remotes and events
- Develop professional job skills by attending any staff leadership & job skill enhancement training
- Demonstrate professionalism by attending staff meetings and perform functions as deemed appropriate by Operations Manager or Program Director
- Utilize teamwork and leadership to train and mentor staff and volunteers
- Adhere to all Policy and Procedures
- Report any and all violations to GM and OM
- All students must have completed one or more of the following courses:
In house WIT Training Course COMM-3351 - Radio Program Production, COMM-3352 - Fundamentals of Television Production, COMM 4485 - Special Topics (e.g. Sports Communications, Podcasting) - Must be enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a 2.0 GPA.
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License.
- Frequently moves Audio/Visual equipment weighing up to 50 pounds across campus for various classrooms and events needs
- Skilled with Adobe Audition
