Job SummaryKey responsibilities of this position are as follows:
- 50% Assist the Coordinator of Supplemental Instruction and Director of Academic Support and Assessment with recruiting, interviewing, training, and supervising staff of 35-40 SI Leaders.
- 10% Assist the Coordinator and Director with maintaining accreditation standards per the International Center for Supplemental Instruction.
- 20% Conduct onsite and virtual observations and evaluations of SI Leaders.
- 15% Directly oversee the SI Peer Mentors and develop additional professional development opportunities at the undergraduate level.
- 5% Perform other duties relating to the operation of the Center for Academic Success, including Peer Tutoring and Peer Academic Coaching.
- Fully admitted to a graduate degree program at UWG (provisional admissions are not eligible).
- Hold a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
- Enrolled full-time in a UWG graduate program during the assistantship period.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 in all previous and current graduate coursework and remain in good academic standing.
- Meet eligibility requirements for employment in the United States.
- Enrolled in the College Student Affairs Master’s Program.
- Monthly stipend of $1,000.00.
- Tuition waiver: $25 per semester plus mandatory fees while employed.
