Job Summary
The Geology Program is seeking part‑time, adjunct faculty to teach introductory geology lecture and laboratory courses for Geology majors and non‑majors and or intermediate/advanced Geology courses depending upon specific qualifications. Part‑time faculty are critical to the mission of the Geology Program. Part‑time positions may or may not be available every semester; part‑time faculty are hired as needed. However, part‑time opportunities are typically available each semester.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory geology lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., GEOL 1121, 1121L, 1122, 1122L).
- Teach intermediate and advanced geology courses (e.g., hydrology) depending upon the applicant’s area of expertise and specific qualifications.
- Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in geology or a geology‑related discipline.
- Provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Geology or related discipline.
- Credentials (e.g., M.S. in Geology or related discipline) should correlate with specific areas of application.
- Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings.
