Job SummaryThe Physics Program is seeking part‑time adjunct faculty to teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and laboratory courses for Physics majors and non‑majors depending on qualifications. Part‑time faculty are critical to the mission of the Physics Program and may not be available every semester; they are hired as needed, typically each semester.
Responsibilities- Teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., PHYS 1111, 1111L, 1112, 1112L, and ASTR 2313 and 2313L).
- Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in physics or a related discipline.
- Provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Physics or related discipline.
- Applications and credentials should correlate with specific areas of application.
- Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings.
