Geology Program Adjunct Faculty
The Geology Program is seeking part-time, adjunct faculty to teach introductory geology lecture and laboratory courses for Geology majors and non-majors and or intermediate/advanced Geology courses depending upon specific qualifications. Part-time faculty are critical to the mission of the Geology Program. Part-time positions may or may not be available every semester; part-time faculty are hired as needed. However, part-time opportunities are typically available each semester.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
- To teach introductory geology lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., GEOL 1121, 1121L, 1122, and 1122L).
- To teach intermediate and advanced geology courses (e.g., hydrology) depending upon the applicant’s area of expertise and specific qualifications.
Required Qualifications:
- Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in geology or a geology-related discipline
- Candidates must provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s or Doctoral Degree in Geology or related discipline.
- Applications and credentials (e.g., M.S. in Geology or related discipline) should correlate with the specific areas of application.
- Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings
