Physics Program Adjunct Faculty
The Physics Program is seeking part-time, adjunct faculty to teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and laboratory courses for Physics majors and non-majors depending upon specific qualifications. Part-time faculty are critical to the mission of the Physics Program. Part-time positions may or may not be available every semester; part-time faculty are hired as needed. However, part-time opportunities are typically available each semester.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
To teach introductory physics and astronomy lecture and/or laboratory courses (e.g., PHYS 1111, 1111L, 1112, and 1112L and ASTR 2313 and 2313L).
Minimum of 18 graduate level course credits in physics or related discipline. Candidates must provide information/references that support teaching effectiveness.
Master
¿ s or Doctoral Degree in Physics or related discipline. Applications and credentials (e.g., M.S. in Physics or related discipline) should correlate with the specific areas of application. Teaching experience in lecture and laboratory settings.
