Non-Tenure-Track Faculty Position

The THSON non-tenure-track position is a 10-month academic-year faculty. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate BSN students in varied settings. Applicants must hold a master’s degree in nursing with a clinical specialization focus, have a strong clinical practice background, and an active RN eNLC license to practice nursing in Georgia (or eligible). Preferred qualifications include certification in a specialty area, a doctorate in nursing or related field, a record of accomplishments in working with diverse populations of students, undergraduate clinical, laboratory, and didactic teaching experience, and evidence of a scholarly program broadly defined.

The non-tenure track faculty is committed to creating a culture of quality caring that fosters caring collaborative relationships between teachers and learners and is responsible for advancing nursing education in three areas:
Non-tenure track faculty have a primary assignment in teaching undergraduate BSN students in varied settings including online, traditional classroom, simulation, laboratory, and clinical settings. The non-tenure track faculty who has a doctoral degree may be assigned to teach or advise graduate students. Service to the school/university/profession/community include serving on committees, engaging in student success activities and events, and community service based on expertise.

Educational Requirements:

Master’s degree in nursing with a clinical specialization focus and/or an informatics, nursing education, or nursing leadership focus. Experience Requirements:
Strong clinical practice background. An active RN eNLC license to practice nursing in Georgia (or eligible).

Preferred qualifications include certification in a specialty area, a doctorate in nursing, a record of accomplishments in working with diverse populations of students, undergraduate clinical, laboratory, and didactic teaching experience, and evidence of a scholarly program broadly defined.

Salary is commensurate with experience.
