Job Summary
The Coliseum Events and Facilities Student Assistant supports the planning, setup, operation, and breakdown of campus and athletic events while helping maintain university facilities. This role ensures event spaces are clean, organized, safe, and ready for use, while providing excellent customer service to students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
Qualifications- Must be enrolled at UWG in a minimum of 6 credit hours and have a 2.0 or higher
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Ability to follow instructions and pay attention to detail
- Basic organizational and time management skills
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
- Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull up to 25 pounds (or as specified by the employer)
- Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach during event setup and breakdown
- Ability to move tables, chairs, and event equipment safely
- Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions when required
- Currently in the UWG Sport Management program
