Job Summary

This position is responsible for event setup and breakdown, customer service, facility oversight, and ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all event participants. Event Assistants work closely with professional staff and reservation groups to provide exceptional event experiences.

Required Qualifications
  • Current University of West Georgia student enrolled in good academic standing.
  • Must be enrolled in a minimum of 6 credit hours.
  • Applicants are required to have and consistently obtain at least a 2.5 GPA
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented.
  • Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and occasional special events.
Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift for extended periods.
  • Ability to safely move tables, chairs, and event equipment.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment and furniture weighing up to 50 pounds.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and special events.
