Job SummaryKey responsibilities for this role include the following:
Financial Reporting (35%)- Generating and updating financial reports.
- Preparing spreadsheets for tracking expenditures and revenue.
- Assisting with month-end or quarter-end financial reporting.
- Reviewing and reconciling financial statements.
- Ensuring that all expenses are accounted for.
- Identifying discrepancies in financial data.
- Assisting with processing invoices and payments.
- Helping track outstanding receivables and follow up with vendors or departments.
- Assisting in preparing and reviewing budgets for 5-year plans.
- Helping with budget forecasting and projections.
- Participating in meetings with department heads to discuss budget status.
- Communicating with other departments regarding financial matters.
- Supporting other budget/finance-related tasks as needed.
- Students admitted provisionally to a program are not eligible for an assistantship.
- Earned a Bachelor's degree.
- Have applied for and been accepted to a graduate degree program of study at UWG.
- Be enrolled as a full‑time student in a graduate program of study.
- Have maintained a 3.0 GPA in previous and current graduate coursework.
- Meet the requirements to be eligible for employment in the US.
- Enrolled in Master of Business Administration (MBA) or Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc).
- Licensed driver.
- A monthly stipend of $1,000.00 per month.
- A tuition waiver, reducing your graduate tuition to $25 per semester plus mandatory fees as long as you are employed in your assistantship.
- Sedentary work in a standard office environment, requiring prolonged sitting, close vision, and manual dexterity for tasks like data entry and using office equipment.
- Ability to drive.
- Department values candidates with strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a genuine interest in financial matters.
