Dispatcher

This position is a part-time position supporting university police operations working a 12 - hour shift as needed. The primary focus of the dispatcher position is to serve as a conduit in which information is transmitted between the public and police personnel so appropriate action can be taken. Major responsibilities of the position are answering the department's telephone lines and radio systems;

dispatching calls, recording information in the records management system, operate the Georgia Crime Information Computer (GCIC), monitor campus alarms and access control system, monitor the closed-circuit television system, and perform other duties as assigned. The ability to multitask is essential for this position.
