Position: Summer Intern (Days)
The Tanner Health System Internship Program is designed to provide students a practical experience in healthcare.

Education

High School Diploma or GED

Experience

No prior work experience required

Qualifications

Must be enrolled in college.

Prefer candidates to be a junior or senior with a minimum of 3.0 GPA.

Pleasant, professional demeanor; confident personality.

Ability to communicate with a wide range of people to create a positive image of Tanner Health System.

Excellent customer service skills

Physical appearance should reflect an image of positive health practices and professional demeanor

Microsoft Word and Excel and internet browser proficiency a must.

Must be capable of preparing files and maintaining records and documentation.

Functions

Area of Responsibilities

Projects may be focused in a variety of functional areas. Projects in previous years have focused on quality, process improvement, strategy, operations, finance, marketing, and business development.

Students may be expected to present a deliverable such as a presentation or project summary at the end of their summer internship experience.

May be given professional and management support work assignments.

May be ask to develop and utilize spreadsheets, databases, and other computer applications.

Has to collect, understand, process, verify and report information.

May be ask to prepare specialized reports.

Compliance Statement

Employee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.

Position Responsibilities

Contact with Others:
