Mullins Mechanical is a leader in industrial and large commercial mechanical, plumbing, HVAC construction projects. Our projects are often in industrial and manufacturing environments, such as manufacturing facilities, automotive plants, chemical plants, distribution centers, warehouses, and other large commercial facilities. We are a self-performing specialty contractor specializing in design-build applications, HVAC systems, plumbing, process piping systems, boiler and chiller systems, equipment installation and rigging, plant relocation and maintenance, and metal fabrication.

Responsibilities:
  • Own and execute the end-to-end onboarding process for new hires, including pre-employment requirements, system setup, required documentation, first-day readiness, and ongoing follow-up.
  • Manage onsite new-hire onboarding and orientation activities, including scheduling, employee check-in, required forms, policy and handbook review, benefits enrollment support, and coordination with Safety, Learning and Development, Payroll, Resource Management, and Operations.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for new hires throughout onboarding, providing clear communication, answering routine questions, and ensuring a consistent and professional new-hire experience.
  • Enter, maintain, and audit employee information in HR systems; process new hires, job changes, status changes, terminations, and other employee transactions accurately and within required timelines.
  • Maintain complete, accurate, and confidential personnel records and electronic files in accordance with company standards and recordkeeping requirements.
  • Monitor onboarding checklists, outstanding documentation, and system tasks; proactively follow up with employees and leaders to ensure timely completion.
  • Provide day-to-day administrative support to the HR team, including document preparation, correspondence, data entry, scheduling, reporting, and record maintenance.
  • Respond to routine employee and leader inquiries regarding onboarding, policies, benefits, employment records, and HR processes, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the appropriate HR team member.
  • Support payroll, benefits, offboarding, and employee-change processes by ensuring information and documentation are accurate, complete, and communicated to the appropriate teams.
  • Identify and support improvements to onboarding, administrative workflows, documentation, and HR systems that improve efficiency, accuracy, and the employee experience.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on business needs.
Qualifications:
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience will be considered.
  • Minimum of 2–3 years of progressive human resources experience, preferably in an HR Coordinator, HR operations, or similar role.
  • Demonstrated experience coordinating onboarding and managing employee documentation, records, and high-volume administrative processes.
  • Strong systems aptitude and experience working with HRIS, payroll, or workforce management systems; ADP and Workday experience strongly preferred.
  • Strong administrative skills and attention to detail, with the ability to accurately manage data, documentation, deadlines, and multiple workflows.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication skills with a service-oriented approach to supporting employees and leaders.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, take ownership of assigned responsibilities, and consistently follow through with limited supervision.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive employee and company information.
  • Construction, manufacturing, industrial, or multi-site workforce experience preferred.
  • Ability to work on-site five days per week in the Carrollton, Georgia office.
