The Facilities Move Crew is in need of strong student assistants. As a Move Crew student assistant you may be approved to work up to 29 hours per week during the semester or up to 40 hours during Spring, Fall and/or Summer breaks. You will be required to drive a University vehicle therefore you will need a valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record and complete required training videos that pertain to this position.
You will be required to move furniture, boxes, supplies, or any number of other items as campus partners have the need. You will also be expected to help set up and take down tables and chairs, etc. for campus events. You must be able to pick up and carry up to 50 pounds of weight on your own. You will be required to work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, hot, cold, rainy, etc.
and must be prepared to dress accordingly. (Every effort is made to avoid bad weather, but sometimes it's not possible).
- Must be enrolled at least half-time at UWG with a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher
- Valid driver’s license and an acceptable driver history.
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds by yourself.
- Must wear closed‑toed footwear while working. (No open sandals, chocs, etc.)
- Previous moving experience or other physical activity that reflects your ability to perform the required duties of this position.
- A current or upcoming semester class schedule if available.
