Hand-Lancing/Hydroblasting Technicians efficiently remove deposits from power plant condensers and heat exchangers to restore, improve, and maintain optimal operating performance. Hydro Technicians must mobilize quickly to travel and perform work in customers' facilities across the country. Airfare, lodging, and a daily per‑diem are provided.

• Operate water‑blasting equipment (lance, 20/40 K psi) to clean and remove deposits, coatings, and obstructions from industrial surfaces, pipes, tanks, and other systems.
• Set up and break down hydro‑blasting equipment and load/unload equipment for the job.
• Perform additional processes and daily manual labor in an industrial setting.
• Obtain and maintain security access for nuclear unescorted badge access.
• Participate in team safety meetings and cross‑functional planning sessions.
• Complete online/remote safety training as required.
• Carry out additional responsibilities as assigned.

• Valid unrestricted driver’s license.
• Entry‑level mechanical skills with at least 6 months or one outage/turnaround season of hydrate blasting or related experience.
• Strong problem‑solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work away from home as needed.
• Use of PPE and safe handling procedures when dealing with chemicals and other materials.
• Knowledge of PPE (respirator, face shield, chemical‑resistant suit or apron, gloves, wash stations) and equipment such as micrometers, temperature monitoring devices, cranes, chemical transfer pumps, product racking, barrels, dolly, forklift.
• Effective communication and interaction with all levels of employees.
• Ability to work in a challenging, schedule‑driven environment.
• Availability to work M‑SUN, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• 100% travel required; ability to travel anywhere in the Continental US with short notice.

• Stand, walk, and move for extended periods (8+ hours/day).
• Frequent bending, kneeling, crouching, stair climbing, and reaching in various work environments.
• Lift and carry tools, equipment, and materials up to 50 lb (occasionally heavier with assistance).
• Work in outdoor and indoor environments, sometimes in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, rain).
• Climb ladders, scaffolding, or work at heights as needed.
• Operate hand tools and power tools safely.
• Drive for extended periods to customer sites, sometimes in remote locations.
• Work in confined spaces.
• Work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
• Adhere to safety protocols.

The work environment involves remote or industrial locations such as oil rigs, refineries, power plants, and manufacturing facilities. Employees may be exposed to loud noise, heavy machinery, hazardous materials, confined spaces, and extreme temperatures. Rotational schedules and extended shifts are common. Safety is a top priority with rigorous training protocols and PPE provided to mitigate risks. The role may involve working outdoors in varying weather conditions and traveling between job sites.
