Must have manual machining experience with the Mill and Lathe 1st Shift with three choices – Mon-Fri, 5am-1pm or 6am-2pm, or 7am-3pm. There is overtime on weekdays and weekends. Need to be able/willing to work overtime.
Overview of the Position:Learn and understand the proper operation of the employee's machine (Lathe/Mill). Be responsible for that machine and report any problems to Management. Use and be able to read micrometers and bore gauges. Learn and be able to indicate or "zero" parts on machines. Grind parts to the specifications called for on "Travelers". Be familiar with the company computer system, know how to "clock" parts to locations, and document the required paperwork.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:- Read and understand company procedures and shop work instructions.
- Check tolerances of parts using C-mics, Tri-mics, bore gauges, and calipers.
- Complete set-ups on machines, indicate parts to find position and machine to specific tolerances.
- Properly maintain all assigned equipment.
- Follow the "time in location" priority list.
- Must speak, read and write the English language
- Should have basic computer software skills
- Prior work experience in conventional machining (Mill/Lathe) is helpful but not required.
- Should be able to read blueprints
- Must have H. S. Diploma or GED
- 3-5 years of experience or more

LanguageSkills:
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
MathematicalSkills:
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

· Is occasionally required to stand; walk; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl; and lift up to 80 pounds.
· Is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or feel.
· Is frequently required to talk or listen.
· Works in moderate noise levels.
· Lift parts and part chucks up to 80lbs.
· No vision requirements.
