Job Description
Triosim Corporation is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician to support industrial inspection, reliability, and maintenance services across our pulp & paper, manufacturing, and heavy industrial customer base. This position is responsible for performing inspections and evaluations on critical industrial equipment using a variety of NDT methods to help ensure equipment reliability, safety, and performance. The ideal candidate will have experience working in industrial environments and possess strong mechanical aptitude, professionalism, and a commitment to safety.
Inspections will be performed on rolls, piping systems, weldments, pressure-containing components, rotating equipment, and structural assemblies using industry-standard NDT methods. The technician will work closely with maintenance teams, machinists, welders, project managers, and customer personnel to identify defects, assess equipment condition, and document inspection results. This role will support shop service operations based out of our Carrollton, GA facility.
- Perform NDT inspections using Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), Visual Testing (VT), and Eddy Current Testing (ET) preferred.
- Conduct inspections on paper machine rolls, welded structures, pressure vessels, industrial piping, rotating equipment, and cast iron and steel components.
- Interpret and evaluate inspection results in accordance with applicable standards and procedures.
- Prepare clear and accurate inspection reports and documentation.
- Assist with failure analysis and root cause investigations.
- Maintain NDT equipment and calibration records.
- Follow all OSHA and customer safety requirements.
- Travel to customer sites as required.
- High school diploma or GED.
- Minimum 2 years industrial or mechanical experience.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to read mechanical drawings and weld symbols.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ability to work overtime.
- ASNT Level I or Level II certification.
- Experience in pulp & paper, steel, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environments.
- Experience with industrial shutdowns or outage work.
- Welding inspection experience.
- Knowledge of cast iron and steel defect evaluation.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders and work in industrial environments.
- Ability to work indoors, outdoors, and in varying temperatures.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
