Tanner Health Foundation Intern
The Tanner Health Foundation intern will work closely with the Foundation staff on several projects, which will train the student to multitask and sharpen their internal/external communication, critical thinking, and project management skills. Projects could include but are not limited to drafting of donor gift press releases and or spotlights, updating constituent records with the Raiser Edge database, assisting with special events, expediting direct mailings, distributing communication materials and other duties as needed.
The Tanner Health Foundation intern is part of a highly motivated team that promotes Tanner Health, community wellness, engagement events for the benefit of donors and the regional community and seeks to inspire philanthropic support. Work may be at a variety of locations throughout the service area as needed. Assist as needed with general office operations.

High School Diploma or GED

Certifications:
NONE REQUIRED
Currently pursuing or recently completed undergraduate or masters degree
Candidates must hold a minimum of 3.0 GPA. be currently pursuing or have recently completed an undergraduate or masters degree program with a concentration in business, non-profit management, political science public administration, public health, marketing, public relations, or communications.

Ability to communicate with a wide range of people to create a positive image of Tanner Health Foundation.
Ability to organize and prioritize for maximum time utilization.
Willing to learn on the job but expected to operate with minimal supervision within 6 weeks from date of hire.
Excellent customer service skills
Physical appearance should reflect an image of positive health practices and professional demeanor
Microsoft Word and Excel and internet browser proficiency a must.
FunctionsArea of Responsibilities
Assist as needed in with mass mailings, phone and office coverage, etc.
Prepare materials necessary for donor and community events as needed
Track participants, prepare reports as requested
Assist with office operations as needed in the areas of data and gift entry, donor stewardship, and necessary administrative functions.
Collect, prepare and distribute communications and marketing materials for donor and community outreach events, as well as to promote Tanner Health Foundation and the many ways to give.
Compliance StatementEmployee performs within the prescribed limits of Tanner Health System's Ethics and Compliance program. Is responsible to detect, observe, and report compliance variances to their immediate supervisor, the Compliance Officer, or the Hotline.
