Treatment Nurse Job Summary

We are seeking a Full-Time Treatment Nurse to join our team at Carrollton Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Carrollton, Georgia. As a Treatment Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to our residents, including administering treatment as ordered, making rounds with physicians, and assessing residents for risk of skin breakdown.

• Reviews Nursing Communication Books and Systems

• Provides treatment for all residents as ordered

• Provides special procedures as ordered

• Makes rounds with physicians for those residents with treatment orders

• Assesses residents for risk of skin breakdown, tears or lesions

• Completes weekly skin records accurately describing onset date, size, location, color, healing, odors, cultures, etc.

• Completes the weekly skin report for the Director of Nursing, noting progress

• Completes tracking forms for all infections in preparation of the facility’s Quality Assessment and assurance

• Assists with auditing of charts

• Notifies physicians of the healing or lack of healing of any lesions

• Performs any other tasks as assigned by the Director of Nursing or Assistant Director of Nursing

• Must possess a current, unencumbered license to practice as a nurse in this state

• Must be able to read, write, and speak and understand the English language

• Must possess the ability to make independent decisions when necessary

• Must be able to relate to information concerning a patient condition
