Full‑Time Retail Sales Associate
We offer an easily achievable commission structure that pays you for every transaction you process.
Up to 8% commission on transactions, which could average an additional $## per hour on top of your hourly rate.

- Best working hours: most stores open 9AM-6PM; many closed Sundays.

We are seeking entry‑level, full‑time sales associates in our pawn store locations nationwide. A Pawnbroker / Retail Sales Associate partners with the entire staff of the store to ensure customer service on both the lending and retail sides of the business. They greet, engage, and interact with customers in a positive and professional manner to process sales, loans, and other transactions.
They work with a variety of jewelry and general merchandise, including tools, electronics, firearms (in FFL locations) and more. The full‑time position offers an hourly wage plus employees earn commission based on productivity.
- Greets and interacts with all customers to develop a rapport and recommend appropriate financial solutions.
- Performs non‑management open/close procedures.
- Maintains sales floor cleanliness, stocking, and merchandise display.
- Performs sales and loan transactions in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Handles all cash and negotiable items in accordance with established policies, procedures, practices, and regulatory requirements.
- Answers incoming calls per company standards.
- Effectively communicates to customers the legal aspects of pawn and buy transactions.
- Communicates effectively with coworkers and managers, displaying respect and using effective communication tools.
- Partners with all employees to create a positive and memorable customer experience.
- Successfully completes the assigned training.
- Other related duties, as assigned.
- Must be willing and able to lift/carry up to 50 pounds.
- Must be willing and able to perform duties for extended periods (standing, stooping, walking, climbing, pulling, lifting).
- Ability to work with firearms and obtain firearms certification.
- Employees may be asked to assist customers outside the building or retrieve products stored in exterior areas.
- Minimum age: 18 years old.
- High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience.
- Strong desire to work, serve customers, and be team oriented.
- Ability to multi‑task in a fast‑paced environment.
- Proficient basic math calculations.
- Cash handling experience preferred.
- Ability to work in multiple locations.
- Must be able to work a flexible retail schedule (weekends, holidays).
- Computer literate and able to operate point‑of‑sale (POS) systems and common office machines.
The employee commission incentive plan is proprietary to First Cash. Pawnbrokers have the potential to earn 2–8% commission, based on the gross profit of their personal performance. Applicants receive more details during the interview.
Payrates will not be below any applicable local minimum wage requirements.
