Merrell & Associates partners with local high schools in Carrollton, Newnan, and Villa Rica, GA, to provide a youth apprenticeship program. Juniors and seniors may be eligible to work part‑time while finishing high school and then continue employment with us while attending Carroll Technical Institute to earn their degree in Air Conditioning Technology. Interested students should see their school advisor about this program.
ServiceTechnician
Our service technicians work in a rewarding and fast‑paced environment. A senior technician is responsible for diagnosing and repairing any residential to medium‑grade commercial HVAC problem. All technicians must be EPA certified and be excellent in electrical and refrigerant cycle troubleshooting. NATE certification is a huge plus.
Mechanical InstallationsMechanical Installation Technicians are skilled in every aspect of air conditioning and air duct system installations. These technicians are expected to take total responsibility from start to finish of any project, be it new construction or renovation. While there is flexibility in assignments, residential and commercial areas are normally separated.
Entry LevelWe have several types of entry level jobs for people who have no previous experience in the field but who have good mechanical aptitude and interest. These jobs offer the chance to prove one’s character, reliability, and dependability while learning general construction practices, sheet metal duct work and air distribution systems installation on the job. Many of Merrell & Associates top Mechanical Installation and Service Technicians started here.
