Project Accountant

We’re working with a client seeking a Project Accountant to support a project-based company in the industrial services and warehouse solutions space. This role will help manage project financials, month‑end close, reporting, reconciliations, budgeting, and forecasting for a business with ongoing customer projects, vendor activity, subcontractor costs, and job cost tracking.

• Support month‑end close and reporting
• Maintain project financials and reconciliations
• Prepare accruals, journal entries, and schedules
• Track project costs, invoices, and contract status
• Prepare job cost and project performance reports
• Support project revenue and cost recognition
• Analyze variances, trends, and cost issues
• Assist with budgeting and forecasting
• Support audit requests and documentation
• Improve workflows, procedures, and reporting processes

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
• 3+ years of accounting experience
• Experience with month‑end close, reconciliations, and reporting
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles
• Strong Excel and analytical skills
• Ability to review contract‑related financial details
• Detail‑oriented with strong organization and deadline management skills
• Clear written and verbal communication skills

• Project accounting, job costing, or construction accounting experience
• Experience in construction, engineering, consulting, or professional services
• Exposure to work‑in‑progress reporting or project revenue recognition
• Budgeting, forecasting, or audit support experience
