About the OpportunityOur client, a well-established commercial flooring contractor, is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Sales Administrator to support a top-producing sales representative and help keep projects moving from award through completion.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys coordinating multiple moving pieces, building strong vendor relationships, and ensuring projects stay on schedule. While prior flooring industry experience is highly preferred, candidates with experience in construction administration, project coordination, or a related industry are also encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities- Provide administrative support to a high-volume outside sales representative.
- Coordinate material orders, samples, and project documentation.
- Order flooring materials and track deliveries to ensure projects remain on schedule.
- Communicate with vendors regarding lead times, shipments, and product availability.
- Prepare, submit, and manage project paperwork required by general contractors, including close attention to deadlines and documentation requirements.
- Assemble and submit product specifications, samples, and other required project submittals.
- Coordinate with installers to confirm material availability, job readiness, and project schedules.
- Maintain organized project files and monitor deliverables throughout each project's lifecycle.
- Assist with estimating functions as experience grows, including quantity takeoffs and pricing using industry-specific estimating software.
- Support the sales and operations teams with additional administrative and project coordination tasks as needed.
- Previous experience in commercial flooring, construction administration, project coordination, estimating support, or a related field preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and follow-up skills with vendors, installers, clients, and internal teams.
- Comfortable learning industry-specific estimating and project management software.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word).
- Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
