GM Mechanic

Vanguard Buick GMC of Carrollton operates dealerships in Arlington, Carrollton, Sherman, and Austin, representing the Kia, GMC, and Volkswagen brands.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per flag hour, based on experience.

• Diagnose and repair vehicles
• Perform mechanical repairs and adjustments
• Utilize diagnostic tools and equipment to identify and troubleshoot automotive issues accurately
• Ensure all work is completed to high-quality standards and follows manufacturer specifications
• Maintain detailed records of all repairs, parts used, and services performed
• Communicate with Service Advisors to explain necessary repairs
• Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
• Training and professional development opportunities provided

• Automotive training
• Experience as an automotive technician
• ASE certification or Brand Specific equivalent
• Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Proficiency with automotive diagnostic tools and software
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Attention to detail and a commitment to quality work
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
