Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Healthcare Business Development Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the healthcare industry, with a proven track record of driving business growth and forming strategic partnerships. This role requires a deep understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities. The Healthcare Business Development Manager will identify new business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, and create strategies to achieve business objectives.

The Healthcare Business Development Manager will assist the informatics team with the electronic exchange of data between healthcare providers across the county.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities
  • Identify and evaluate new business opportunities in the healthcare sector.
  • Develop and implement strategic business development plans.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and industry partners.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about industry trends and competitive landscape.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align business development efforts with company goals.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations to potential clients and partners.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with clients and partners.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of business development initiatives.
  • Attend industry conferences and events to network and promote the company.
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of potential business opportunities.
  • Work closely with the marketing team to develop promotional materials and campaigns.
  • Provide regular updates to senior management on business development activities and progress.
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with business development initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
  • Manage budgets and resources for business development projects.
  • Participate in interoperability projects including HL7 interfaces and Health Information Exchange (HIE).
  • Coordinate and manage the HIE data quality implementation projects.
  • Coordinate activities in training, adoption, and managing expectations regarding detailed functionality, phasing of functionality, and integrating HIE functionality with community providers.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, preferably in the healthcare industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and forming strategic partnerships.
  • Strong understanding of the healthcare market, including trends, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and CRM software.
