A Typical DayThe IT Project Manager develops and maintains detailed project schedules, including administrative tasks, while coordinating meetings, reporting, and communications to ensure team members adhere to deadlines. As the Project Manager
, you will be responsible for tracking project changes, updating project plans, and garnering agreements with Engineers and customers. You will compile critical documentation, including change requests and requirements, for the project team.
The IT Project Manager will:
- Gather and track all project information, including schedules, data requests, assignments, and tasks; work closely with team members to understand and monitor all work streams.
- Maintain document control
, track project activities, and modify project schedules as assigned to ensure alignment with goals. - Develop and review project status reports; facilitate strategic meetings and ensure diligent follow-up through comprehensive meeting notes and scheduled check‑ins.
- Create and publish communications to project teams and stakeholders, ensuring all customer needs and expectations are met.
- Process daily, weekly, and monthly reporting to ensure all schedules run smoothly, all tasks are completed as prescribed, and projects are completed in a timely manner.
- Collaborate with the Senior Project Manager to maintain scope, schedules, and workflows for all assigned projects.
- Deliver timely and accurate information in a fast‑paced environment, effectively prioritizing tasks under high‑pressure conditions.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
- Demonstrate behaviors which are aligned with the organization’s desired culture and values.
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or other relevant degree.
- 3+ years of relevant work experience in project coordination or management.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to interface with executive management.
- Must be highly proficient in Excel and Word.
- Excellent critical thinking, problem‑solving, and mathematical skills.
- Must be a team player with strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
- Ability to work overtime when required to meet strict project deadlines.
- PMP not required, considered a plus.
- Financial Services and, if possible, mortgage industry experience preferred.
