HVAC Commercial Project Manager

Role Description the HVAC Commercial Project Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Carrollton, TX. This person oversees commercial HVAC and mechanical projects from pre-construction through closeout, including planning, scheduling, and coordination of field activities. Daily responsibilities include reviewing plans and specifications, preparing and tracking budgets, managing subcontractors and vendors, and ensuring work meets safety, quality, and code requirements. The role involves regular communication with clients, design teams, and internal stakeholders to address project issues, provide updates, and support customer satisfaction.

The Project Manager also assists with commissioning, start-up coordination, and warranty-related follow-up to ensure successful project delivery.

Qualifications

• Strong technical background in HVAC and plumbing systems, with experience managing commercial mechanical projects.
• Demonstrated focus on customer satisfaction and customer service, with the ability to build and maintain professional client relationships.
• Sales and project estimating skills, including experience with GMP pricing, competitive bids, and change order management.
• Proficiency in project management tools and practices, including scheduling, budgeting, documentation, and risk management.
• Knowledge of relevant building codes, safety regulations, and industry standards in commercial and institutional construction.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with owners, engineers, contractors, and field teams.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a commitment to quality and timelines.
• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• Previous experience as a project manager or project engineer in HVAC/mechanical contracting strongly preferred.

• Must possess the ability to work independently and to carry out assignments to completion within parameters of instructions given, prescribed routines, and standard accepted practices
• Possess a minimum of 5 years of industry experience
• Possess a minimum of 6 years of commercial HVAC construction project experience.
• Must possess a minimum of 6 years of leadership experience
• Be able to quickly gain an understanding of the business and processes
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
• Must be able to talk, listen and speak clearly on telephone
• Must be able to attend site project meetings and walk project sites
• Must be able to speak and understand English clearly.
