Position Summary
Supports construction projects through the creation, coordination, and management of shop drawings, BIM modeling, and MEP systems. Collaborates across teams, contributing to project efficiency and accuracy.
Responsibilities- Provides support on construction projects, including receiving, logging, tracking, expediting and distribution of shop drawings, RFIs and other construction project documentation.
- Creates shop drawings for mechanical systems and equipment, room layout, and detailed drawings.
- Maintains a document protocol that ensures information is retrievable and understandable by others.
- Reduces time and costs related to potential errors of clash detection.
- Provides MEP coordination and 3D modeling using BIM.
- Attends and participates in construction and other meetings as required.
- Collaborates with the design and build team to eliminate construction errors due to design flaws.
- High School or GED and 2 years of related experience or completion of a trade apprentice program.
- Good verbal and written communication skills; ability to write, edit and proofread content.
- Strong understanding of craft and ability to read and interpret basic construction documents.
- Current knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, piping, sheet metal trades and field installation methods.
- Attention to detail and ability to coordinate projects.
- Knowledge of applicable AEC, BIM, CAD software (Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD).
