Lead Interior Designer – Luxury Residential & Commercial

Nicole Arnold Interiors | Dallas/Carrollton, TX | Full-Time | In-Person

Are you an experienced interior designer who is ready to take greater ownership of projects, lead clients with confidence and create exceptional interiors without giving up the energy and collaboration of a boutique design firm?

Nicole Arnold Interiors is looking for a Lead Interior Designer to join our award-winning Dallas-area firm.

We specialize in luxury residential interiors and commercial office environments, creating highly personalized spaces for discerning clients. Our reputation has been built not only on great design, but on delivering an organized, polished and exceptional client experience from concept through installation.

This is not an entry-level or production-only design position.

We're looking for an experienced designer who can
think creatively, manage projects, confidently interact with clients and take ownership of the details required to bring sophisticated interiors to life.

You’ll work closely with our Principal while also having the autonomy to lead assigned projects and client relationships.

THE OPPORTUNITY

As a Lead Interior Designer, you’ll be involved in projects from initial concept through final installation.

You’ll have the opportunity to:

  • Lead assigned residential and commercial design projects
  • Develop sophisticated design concepts and translate them into complete spaces
  • Work directly with clients and confidently present recommendations
  • Source furniture, fabrics, lighting, art, accessories and custom pieces
  • Collaborate closely with our Principal and design team
  • Manage project details, budgets, timelines and vendor relationships
  • Mentor and provide direction to less-experienced team members as appropriate
  • Participate in installations and see your designs through to completion
  • Attend industry markets, conferences and vendor events
  • Continue developing toward greater design and project leadership within the firm

We’re a small, highly collaborative team, which means your ideas matter and your contribution is visible.

WHAT YOUR WEEK MIGHT LOOK LIKE

One day you may be developing the furnishing plan for a luxury residence and sourcing the perfect statement pieces.

The next, you might be presenting a design concept to a client, reviewing custom furniture specifications with a vendor or solving a field condition with the project team.

You may also be:

  • Creating space plans and drawings
  • Developing design concepts and material palettes
  • Preparing client presentations
  • Building and managing FF&E selections
  • Creating project budgets and pricing custom pieces
  • Reviewing proposals and specifications
  • Leading client meetings on behalf of the Principal
  • Communicating with vendors, trades and workrooms
  • Visiting project sites
  • Participating in installations and styling

If you enjoy both the
creative and client-facing sides of interior design
, you’ll feel at home here.

WHO WILL THRIVE HERE

You’re an experienced interior designer with strong taste and equally strong follow-through.

You know that beautiful design is only part of delivering a successful luxury project. Organization, communication, responsiveness and attention to detail matter just as much.

You’re comfortable making decisions and presenting your ideas, but you’re also collaborative and enjoy working with other talented people.

Most importantly, you take ownership.

When you’re responsible for a project, you naturally think ahead:
What needs to happen next? What could become a problem? What does the client need from us? How do we keep this moving?

You likely describe yourself as:

  • Creative and design-driven
  • Confident with clients
  • Highly organized
  • Proactive rather than reactive
  • Comfortable managing multiple projects
  • Detail-oriented
  • Resourceful when problems arise
  • Collaborative without requiring constant direction
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced boutique firm
  • Passionate about sophisticated interiors and exceptional client service
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Required:

  • 5+ years of professional interior design experience
  • Significant experience with
high-end residential interior design and furniture sourcing
  • Proven ability to independently manage significant…
