Reports to: Site Manager or Site Supervisor

SUMMARY:

The Adjunct Lab Instructor is responsible for providing high-quality skills instruction and scenario facilitation during live sessions.

MAJOR

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Provides live skills and scenario instruction during lab classes.
  • Supports the mission vision and values of the school to outside agencies
  • Works closely with the primary instructor and SOE leadership in enforcing student compliance with policies and procedures
  • Attends occasional team meetings and annual training
  • Grades students on psychomotor and affective abilities according to the syllabus
  • Follows the scheduled lab plan
  • Reports on student progress and participates in debriefs
  • Conducts themselves appropriately, especially if travelling

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION/

EXPERIENCE:

2 years in a prehospital system at the level instructing

The instructor must complete the School of EMS Instructor Orientation.

Part 1:
Completed prior to instructing students

Part 2:
Complete within 30 days of hire

Part 3:
Complete online module within 30 days of hire. Should complete the entire onboarding process including card course instructor within 6 months of employment.

* Note the instructor must meet all requirements in their specific state, which may be more restrictive than the above*

CERTIFICATION AND LICENSURE:

State paramedic or EMT license in good standing, depending on the level instructing

Language Ability:
