Job Description
Our company, a leader in home automation technology and integrated services for over twenty years, is seeking a reliable and organized Field Scheduler to join our Texas-based operations team. The Field Scheduler will play a key role in coordinating field service appointments, optimizing technician schedules, and ensuring timely communication with customers and internal teams. - Manage and maintain daily field service schedules for technicians and subcontractors
- Dispatch technicians to customer sites based on skill set, location, and priority
- Confirm appointments with customers via phone, email, or text and provide accurate arrival windows
- Monitor job progress and update schedules in real time to minimize downtime
- Coordinate with operations, warehouse, and sales teams to ensure parts and materials are available for scheduled jobs
- Prioritize emergency and same-day service requests and reassign resources as needed
- Maintain accurate records in the scheduling/field management system and generate schedule reports
- Communicate schedule changes and delays to customers and field staff promptly
- Identify opportunities to improve scheduling efficiency and customer communication
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the manager
Skills and Qualifications
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Proven ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable using scheduling software, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office
- Problem-solving mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work collaboratively with field personnel and office teams
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required
- 1–3 years of experience in scheduling, dispatching, customer service, or related roles preferred
- Experience in home automation, electrical, or field service industries is a plus
- Demonstrated record of reliability and professionalism
The Field Scheduler is responsible for coordinating field operations to ensure timely, efficient service delivery and high customer satisfaction. This role helps maintain operational flow by aligning technician availability, customer needs, and parts logistics, contributing directly to our reputation for dependable home technology services.
