Energy​/Power Generation Technician, Wind Turbine ​/ Technician

Service/Maintenance Technician in Carrollton, TX

• Build and install wind turbines per standard operating procedures
• Commission and/or troubleshoot wind turbines
• Perform maintenance work such as repower, torque/tension, cleaning
• Inspect the exterior and physical integrity of wind turbine towers
• Climb wind turbine towers to inspect or repair wind turbine equipment
• Perform routine maintenance on wind turbines
• Test and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic components and systems
• Replace worn or malfunctioning components
• Collect turbine data for testing or research and analysis
• Service underground transmission systems, wind field substations, or fiber optic sensing and control systems
• Perform all work following GWS safety protocols and procedures and wearing appropriate PPE
• Attend site induction and other requested site meetings held by the client or GWS
• Work according to the safety regulations
• Report all near-miss accidents, incidents, and accidents immediately to the Site Manager
• Participate in training and education, as required by the Site Manager or the client
• Use all working equipment and tools in a safe and responsible manner
• Perform required maintenance of all tools and equipment on site
• Keep workplace neat and orderly to prevent accidents and inefficiencies
• Meet weekly reporting deadlines of work hours, work progress reports and travel reports
• Flexibility to travel extensively and work in varying and adverse weather conditions
• Flexibility to work overtime hours on a weekly basis including nights and weekends

• Pre-employment background check and drug test
• Valid driver license and acceptable MVR record
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Ability to climb towers, up to 300 ft, on a daily basis, several times per day
• Per safety regulations and equipment safety limits, must weigh less than 260 pounds

• Must be able to work independently.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be a citizen of this country or possess a valid work permit.
• Ability to work outside in varying weather conditions including adverse weather
