The Debug Technician diagnoses, troubleshoots, and repairs faults in electronic or mechanical hardware and software. Using diagnostic tools and schematics, they identify root causes often at the component level (e.g., PCBAs). They repair defects, ensure quality, document findings, and collaborate with engineers to improve product reliability and manufacturing processes, requiring strong problem‑solving and technical skills.

• Identify and fix issues in hardware and software using schematics, BOMs, and test procedures.
• Perform component‑level work: rework, replace, and repair faulty components (e.g., SMT devices, integrated circuits) on circuit boards.
• Set up and operate complex test equipment such as oscilloscopes to verify functionality.
• Ensure products meet specifications and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Accurately record repair details, failure data, and maintain logs.
• Collaborate with engineers on new product development, procedure updates, and process improvements.

• Technical Knowledge:
  Understanding of electronics, schematics, circuit diagrams, and assembly documentation (BOMs).
• Diagnostic Tools:
  Proficiency with electronic test and measurement equipment.
• Problem‑Solving:
  Ability to define problems, collect data, and draw conclusions.
• Communication:
  Clear communication with engineering and manufacturing teams.

Candidates should possess the technical knowledge, diagnostic tool proficiency, and problem‑solving abilities outlined in the Essential Skills & Qualifications. Relevant experience in component repair and testing of electronic hardware is highly desirable.
