Automation and Control Commissioning Manager

Role Overview

Automation and Control System Commissioning Manager for BMS and EPMS control systems with responsibility for onsite checkout and commissioning at large‑scale data center deployments.

• Serve as onsite main point of contact for overall DG BMS/EPMS site commissioning activities with client, general contractor, and installation trade management.
• Lead commissioning status reviews and executive‑level discussions with clients, commissioning agents, and general contractors regarding schedule, risks, resource needs, and issue resolution.
• Represent DG at all site commissioning, site design reviews, change‑management, and commissioning scope meetings and reviews.
• Attend daily commissioning review meetings with client, GC, and commissioning agent; attend internal DG project and review meetings.
• Provide overall management of BMS/EPMS commissioning system issue resolution: review issues, respond and assign, track status, update assignments, re‑assignment, completion, close‑out.
• Create or provide input to support change order development.
• Manage onsite BMS/EPMS commissioning staffing plans, resource allocation, scheduling, and workload balancing to support project objectives.
• Work closely with DG project management, DG design, and Dev Ops teams to manage scope changes and deviations.
• Promote and enforce site safety expectations and ensure commissioning activities comply with client, contractor, and DG safety requirements.

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or equivalent experience.
• 8+ years of experience in industrial control systems or building automation system troubleshooting and/or startup.
• 4+ years of experience overseeing installation, startup, and commissioning of automation and control systems with significant onsite time.
• Strong communicator and ability/desire to work within large teams comprising Design Group professionals, trades, a GC, and the client.
• Commissioning Manager must reside in the vicinity of the data center campus and expect a high level of site presence.

• Local Assignment – work onsite throughout project if residing near campus.
• Temporary Relocation – relocate near site for duration of assignment; relocation assistance available for qualifying assignments.
• Travel Rotation – maintain home location while traveling to project on scheduled rotation.
• Permanent Relocation – candidates may be eligible for relocation assistance based on business needs and assignment location.

Approximate pay range: $150,000 – $200,000 + Bonus.
