As an Engineering Intern, you will work closely with engineers and cross-functional partners to support product development and sustaining activities for air handler and furnace products. This is an excellent opportunity to build technical expertise, strengthen problem-solving skills, and gain practical engineering experience. Successful interns will have the potential opportunity of joining Lennox Full-Time upon graduation. Relocation and/or travel may be required for your position.

What You'll Be Doing:
Product Development & Engineering Support- Assist engineers with the design, development, and improvement of HVAC indoor products and components.
- Support prototype development, testing, and evaluation activities.
- Participate in engineering analysis and problem-solving efforts to improve product performance and reliability.
- Contribute to sustaining engineering projects focused on product quality improvements.
- Assist with product testing and validation efforts to ensure designs meet performance and quality requirements.
- Collect, organize, and analyze test data to support engineering decisions.
- Document test results and communicate findings to engineering team members.
- Support air handler product development and sustaining engineering activities.
- Support furnace product development and sustaining engineering activities.
- Assist with projects aimed at improving product quality, performance, and manufacturability.
- Work with engineering, quality, manufacturing, and other business teams to support project objectives.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for product and process improvements.
- Assist with technical documentation and project coordination efforts.
- Support multiple engineering projects and priorities as assigned.
- Assist with research, troubleshooting, and technical investigations.
- Take on special projects that provide exposure to various aspects of product engineering and development.
What We Are Looking For:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Knowledge of thermodynamics and heat transfer principles
- Understanding of fluid mechanics and fluid flow analysis
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Critical thinking and design optimization abilities
- Strong attention to detail
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with HVAC products and systems
- Experience with Creo and/or Windchill
- Understanding of engineering change processes (CR/CN releases)
