Company Overview

At Liquid Stack, we’re redefining what’s possible in the data center world. As a global leader in advanced liquid cooling solutions, we’re powering the future of AI, edge computing, and high-performance systems. Our team is growing, and we’re looking for skilled professionals who want to be part of something innovative and impactful.

POSITION SUMMARY

At Liquid Stack, you will help validate and scale the cooling systems powering the next generation of AI infrastructure. As AI, high-performance computing, and hyperscale data centers push thermal limits beyond what traditional systems can support, our liquid cooling technologies are enabling a fundamental shift in how data centers are designed and operated.

We are seeking a hands‑on Laboratory Technician (Engineering Technician) to play a critical role in system-level validation, rapid prototyping, and performance optimization of advanced liquid cooling solutions. Reporting to the Director of R&D, you will work across component, system, and rack-level environments, contributing directly to product development and real-world deployment readiness.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES What You’ll Do
  • Own system-level testing and validation of liquid cooling solutions across lab and rack-scale environments
  • Build, configure, and operate complex test systems, including fluid loops, sensors, instrumentation, and data acquisition platforms
  • Partner with engineering to design, modify, and optimize experimental setups
  • Execute and adapt test plans in a fast-paced, iterative R&D environment
  • Troubleshoot and debug integrated systems, identifying root causes across mechanical, thermal, and fluid domains
  • Analyze and interpret data to identify performance trends, anomalies, and optimization opportunities
  • Contribute to test automation and efficiency improvements, including scripting, controls, or process enhancements where applicable
  • Maintain high standards for data integrity, documentation, and repeatability
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and operational protocols
Technical Scope & Tools

You will gain hands-on experience with:

  • Data acquisition systems (DAQ, LabVIEW, PLC-based controls, or similar)
  • System-level debugging of fluid, thermal, and mechanical systems
  • Rack-level test environments simulating real-world data center conditions
  • Integration of cooling systems with broader infrastructure environments
What You Own
  • End-to-end execution and reliability of test setups and validation workflows
  • Accuracy, quality, and usability of experimental data
  • Readiness and performance of lab infrastructure and equipment
  • Continuous improvement of lab processes, scalability, and efficiency
What Success Looks Like
  • You independently build and execute complex test environments
  • Your data directly informs and improves engineering design decisions
  • You proactively identify issues and drive solutions end-to-end
  • You improve lab efficiency, scalability, and repeatability over time
  • You operate effectively in a high-speed, evolving R&D environment
Career Pathways
  • Advanced R&D or Test Engineering roles
  • System validation and product engineering
  • Lab leadership within a rapidly scaling organization
SPECIFIC KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
