Position Summary

The Bankruptcy Specialist will monitor bankruptcy loans daily and ensure timelines are completed in accordance with internal guidelines.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Review and update MSP/LPS with bankruptcy information.
  • Monitor bankruptcy actions through Process Management and default reports.
  • Communicate with attorneys, trustees, taxing authorities and other third parties to ensure timely resolution on all cases.
  • Respond promptly to all incoming correspondence regarding assigned loans.
  • Handle inquiries by responding to emails, intercoms, appropriately escalating document execution, title issue resolution, and other related tasks.
  • Work internal MSP tracking queues and remove files from bankruptcy as necessary.
  • Participate in department progress to reduce timeline delays.
  • Maintain knowledge on how to create and update reconciliation ledgers for chapter 13s.

Education / Experience

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associate’s degree (A.

A.) from a two‑year college preferred. Two to four years of related experience and/or training preferred.

Computer Skills
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Previous experience with MSP, and Black Knight/LPS preferred.
