Position: Assignment Specialist

Selene Holdings is a multiple-lines business financial services firm with a mortgage servicing company, a loan diligence company, a title company, an insurance brokerage, and a real estate owned company. We have office locations in Dallas, TX, Jacksonville, FL, and Salt Lake City, UT.

Position Summary

The Assignment Specialist is responsible for oversight of the execution and recordation of assignment of mortgage documents on behalf of the Company. Ensures all required processes and procedures are followed, Selene’s system of record is notated and documentation is accurately and timely imaged.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Prepares assignment of mortgage documents for quality control review and execution.
  • Provides quality assurance reviews on assignments of mortgage for loans throughout the Company in various stages such as delinquency, active in foreclosure, bankruptcy, or loans that are pending transfer/sale.
  • Reviews documents to ensure they conform to state-specific requirements as well as document-specific check lists.
  • Communicates with preferred vendors, law firms, and other third parties regarding any needed document revisions prior to execution.
  • Follows up with preferred vendors, law firms, and other third parties for receipt of recorded images and notates systems upon recordation.
  • Maintains large volume of multi-faceted work, prioritizes and adapts to a fast-paced business environment.
  • Provides reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities.
Education / Experience

Requires a high school diploma or general education degree (GED); at least one year’s experience in Mortgage Servicing.

Computer Skills

Working knowledge of and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook). Previous experience with MSP, Black Knight/LPS and Fiserv preferred.
